Contents Page Analysis

On all three of the contents pages I looked at they used very common teqniques such as ancourage, numerical lists and emphasis on the issue number/date. Prominent features was the use of famous artists as the article names as this would draw in the readers and make it recognisable for them they also mainly used reverse out to draw attention to the main articles and interesting images to keep readers entertained. Another thing that became apparent to me was the fact that the house style from the front cover was carried through onto this page inorder to ensure readers that they are still looking at the same magazine and also for any consistant readers they will recognise the house style. It is important to carry a constant theme.
